Editorial Policy
The rules every article on this site is held to.
Accuracy
- No fact, date, quotation or statistic is published unless it can be traced to a listed source.
- When sources disagree, the article reports the disagreement instead of choosing silently.
- Claims that cannot be confirmed are left out.
Tone and fairness
- Articles describe documented achievements. They do not claim that any people is inherently superior.
- Individuals are credited for their own work, alongside collaborators and predecessors.
- A person is described as Jewish only where reliable sources do so.
Originality
- Each article is checked against the existing archive before publication to avoid near-duplicates.
- Articles are written in original wording. Quotations are short and attributed.
Use of AI
AI tools assist with research, drafting and checking. An article is published only after its claims have been compared with its sources, and each article states how and when that check was done. Some articles are released automatically after automated checks, without review by a human editor; those articles say so.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in the article, and the article's "Updated" date changes when they are. Significant corrections are noted in the text.
Independence and funding
The site is funded by its operator and by voluntary reader contributions. Contributors receive no influence over what is published. See Support.
No guarantees
Articles are general reference material, not professional advice. For anything that matters, consult the sources listed with each article.
